Don't buy on tag size alone. Read the information below, then follow our "How We Measure" guide to pick the right size from our size charts.
WAIST & HIP STRETCHING: Though pre-shrunk, raw denim stretches. Our jeans will stretch up to 2.5cm / 1" in the waist and hip over 30 wears. Factor this in when picking a size. When washed, the waist & hip will shrink back to where they started.
HEMMING: Our jeans are manufactured at long lengths, which you can see in the size charts. As a result, we offer free hemming. Simply tell us your desired inseam at checkout (billing info step). NOTE! Once hemmed, your jeans cannot be returned or exchanged. Consider purchasing the jeans un-hemmed, and hem them once you know the size is right (free of charge).
INSEAM SHRINKING: Though pre-shrunk, our jeans will still lose 2.5cm / 1" in the length on the first wash. We therefore hem the jeans 2.5cm / 1" longer than you request.
RAW DENIM FEEL: Raw denim will feel rigid when first worn but will relax and soften over time. The denim will mould to your own body, fitting better with each wear.
Blackhorse Lane Ateliers tries wherever possible to minimise our impact to the environment.
-We build our Blackhorse Lane Ateliers jeans to last a lifetime, so we offer free repairs for life.
-We often use Organic cotton in many of our jeans.
-We collect all scraps of denim, which are then used by other creatives for products such as denimite, a denim based furniture & work surface.
-To reduce water consumption we recommend washing your jeans infrequently.
-All refuse within our factory is sorted into compost or recycled materials.
We believe by working together with our suppliers and our customers we can help to make a positive difference to the Denim Industry and make an important small imprint on the planet.
